Inspired by Nature
I started to make my custom hand painted paper jewellery in 1993, fist selling them in the Craft Council shop at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London which soon expanded to many galleries Nationwide. I continue to make my colourful ear studs and brooches using my hand textured and surfaced papers. Each piece is treated individually to create miniature abstract landscape/seascape compositions making all my jewellery unique one of a kind pieces.
All items are made from laminating layers of cartridge paper with tiny segments of painted papers adhered to the surface. The backs and edges are painted and the entire item coated with several layers of transparent lacquer that offers protection against damage by water or grease.
The ear studs are available in two sizes, 15 & 20 mm, mounted on hypoallergenic surgical steel posts.
The brooches are available in two styles, square 4 x 4 cm, and oblong, 5 x 2.5 cm, and are mounted on stainless steel or chrome brooch backs which have a safety catch.
All packaging is made from recycled materials.
